Lincolnville

Hunting Difficulty 6

Established in 1866 by recently freed men following the American Civil War on what was then the west bank of the Maria Sanchez Creek, Lincolnville now also includes the land that originally belonged to the Dumas and Buena Esperanza Plantations and consists of the entire peninsula south of the Alcazar and Historic Downtown.

Lincolnville is a predominantly black neighborhood, that has - for the most part - resisted gentrification attempts by wealthy outsiders. The exception to this is the Little Delhi neighborhood, the largest Indian population in San Augustin.
