The Corazon

The first theater in San Augustin, the old Corazon theater was built in an old garage building behind the Alcazar hotel. In 1923, the theater was closed down after losing too much business to newer, larger theaters. In 1955, it reopened as Potbelly's Cinema, and - with ol' Potbelly's liquor license - was the most popular movie theater in town. In 2000, as part of the reconstruction of San Augustin, the new owners of the theater reopened it with a new take on the original name. The Corazon Grill and Cinema is popular mostly with college students and locals now.
