Amanda Black

Amanda Black was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, by the kind of parents who wholeheatedly embrace the whole "Portland is Weird" aesthetic. She is generally a well-adjusted person, though her extreme good looks allowed her to go through a string of boyfriends all the way up through College (she attended Reed College for three semesters before she was bitten and made to leave).

To help pay her way through college, she began dancing and began branding herself on social media, which was how she met her sire, Devon Zaire, who tendedto hunt at strip clubs in the Portland area, and who accidently overfed one night, nearly killing her. Instead, he decided to embrace her, knowing what a danger that would be; but not wanting to have her death on his hands. He gaveher a quick rundown of Kindred rules and then put a thousand dollars and a bus ticket in her hands and made her get out of the city - citing the danger of unsanctioned embraces to both Sire and Childe.

Amanda's mother and father were a little upset that she dropped out of school, but she's making money and seems happy (she puts on a show when she talks to them from Boise - they have no understanding of why she would move to Idaho of all places (which was because Devon picked the ticket, of course). Her friends always thought she'ddrop out and go full-time dancing, because she was making such good money, so the change didn't really surprise any of them.

Since moving to Boise, Amanda has avoided other Kindred more out of accident than intent, but not really *wanting* to meet more vampires since she's not entirely sure about the whole "unsanctioned embrace" danger and thinking it might still apply. Mostly, she minds her own business, saving and investing and setting herself up in a nice house after acquiring a club of her own. Mostly, she just wants to find out more aobut being a Vampire, so she can start to sort out her place in the world.
