The Hope Foundation
Built by the billionaire philanthropist Daniel Hope as part of the reconstruction efforts following the terrorist attacks in 1999, the Hope Foundation sits on the western shores of the Saint Johns River.
Hope is a non-profit medical research facility with a distinct focus on hematology in general and what they refer to as Porphyric Hemophilia specifically. As a condition of employment, all staff are required to regularly donate blood, half of which is stored in the Hope Foundation's blood banks in the basement.
The top floors of the Foundation Tower are Daniel Hope's old penthouse, which is now the haven of the Brujah River Daye, who has taken over the reigns of the foundation following Daniel Hope's disappearance from the public eye.
The Community Outreach Center on the third through fifth floors have been taken over by The Bright Group - a quasi-religious self-help organization whose aims line up with those of the Hope Foundation's enough that the two merged, though only temporarily. The Group's interim leader, Joseph Smith, intends to repair and rebuild their original home at the Old Jefferson Theater with the intent of returning there.
Supporting Cast: Receptionist, any number of corporate consultants and number crunchers working late to meet a deadline, phlebotomists, security guard, sleeping graduate student, overworked researcher, clinical technician catching up on the backlog, enthusiastic immigrant or lower-class congregation in the outreach center, Average Joe.
Resonance(s): Sanguine, Phlegmatic (see below)
Other Systems: Add one die to pools for alchemical scrounging tests. The blood is much better inventoried however; attempts to steal or tamper with it undetected are at +3 Difficulty. The blood, however, has literally been collected for Kindred. Any kindred willing to register with the Foundation can feed here, cost-free, but no more than once per week. The Bright Group also has contingencies in place to provide blood to those unable to consume catenated blood.
