Hugh and his friends, Butcher and Mars were Embraced as part of the creature Nightblade's mass embraces of 2019. Luckily, Hugh was smart enough to lay low, and convince his "brothers" to do the same.
Together, the three figured out, pretty quickly, what they were and they decided to make the best of it. Setting up shop in Bizaarcade - Hugh's stepfather's Under Augustine arcade - the trio decided to become criminal masterminds.

Any Kindred who gets involved with thedrug trade in San Augustin is likely to butt heads with Hugh. The Antinoris are wary of his expansion, and the Lonely Ones are likely to clash with Hugh when their Police Influence runs into the Bois' criminal enterprises.
