Fort Matanzas

Built to serve as the Southern Watchtower for San Augustin in the 1740s, Fort Matanzas now stands as the one untouched testamony to the City's history. Most of the rangers and reenactors who serve at the Fort do so out of a sense of outrage at the blatant destruction of the Castillo de San Marco and a number of other historic sites in the name of tourism and progress.

Supporting Cast: Curator working late, historic reenactors preparing for the next day's activities, underpaid security guard.
