Butler Beach
Founded in the early 1900s by Frank Butler, in response to the proliferation of "Whites Only" beaches, the area of San Augustin now known as Butler Beach grew up around Frank Butler's original real estate purchases, bath houses and hotels, a park, and even a casino (now closed, of course). After the death of Butler, the burrough stood on the brink of destruction - overrun with White businessmen seeking to move in and drive out their Black neighbors.
But with business investments from Lincolnville, and the founding of the Guardians vigilante group - which acted in direct opposition to so-called "gentrification", Butler Beach continued to grow and prosper. Now a thriving community in its own right. The Guardians became the 3rd-Street Ballas, more of a streetgang than anything, but still seeing themselves as a kind of vigilante police force - primarily interested in keeping Butler Business in Butler (and out of the mouths of White Assholes).
